The Parc du Clos des Chartreux is a 35-hectare, partially wooded nature reserve through which the Médalon flows.

Culture and history

The Église Saint Laurent des Près is open every day, except during the preparation period for the Passion Play from the end of January until Easter. Guided tours can be organised for groups of four or more, depending on available dates.

Classified as a historic monument, the Église Saint Laurent des Près is already mentioned in 1091. The Couvent des Minimes dates from the 17th century and was founded by the Bishop of Grenoble.

The Circuit historique de Tullins uses bronze nails decorated with keys as symbols of the town of Tullins. The route leads through the old town centre, past medieval houses and Renaissance remains.

Nature and trails

The path to the Belvédère du Clos des Chartreux leads to an orientation table, a covered picnic table and a bench overlooking the Vercors and the Chartreuse. The walk there is suitable for beginners, takes about 30 minutes, is around 1.6 kilometres long and includes approximately 50 metres of elevation gain.

The Boucle de Parménie starts at Tullins railway station and can therefore be reached without a car. It leads to the Clos des Chartreux viewpoint, from which the landscape stretches from Savoie to the Drôme.

The Parc du Clos des Chartreux has four orienteering courses designated blue, red, green and accessible. The park also includes a free botanical educational trail.

In Tullins, GAEC des Murailles sells walnut oil as well as caramelised or chocolate-covered walnut kernels directly from the farm.
