Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment can choose Voiron as the destination for their stay.

Culture

The Église Saint-Bruno was fully classified as a historic monument by the French state in 2007. Its organ was built in 1883 by the Callinet brothers of Rouffach and was classified as a historic monument in 1973.

The Église Saint-Pierre is one of Voiron's oldest buildings and dates from the 11th century. It was built at the foot of a hill that had already been inhabited in Gallo-Roman times. Inside are 18th-century choir stalls and 17th-century paintings.

Le Grand Angle in Voiron presents public performances in the fields of opera, theatre, rock, jazz and dance. It also offers a programme for young audiences and workshops in artistic practice. The Fêtes de la Chartreuse take place every year around the symbolic date of 16 May in Voiron as well as in Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse, Saint-Laurent-du-Pont and Entre-Deux-Guiers.

Museums

The Musée Mainssieux was founded in 1989 and presents the painter Lucien Mainssieux's studio collection as well as his personal art collection, which consists mainly of 19th- and 20th-century paintings. It preserves more than 1,000 paintings and 6,000 drawings, as well as illustrated books, personal belongings and the complete archive containing the painter Lucien Mainssieux's personal documents.

The Musée Mainssieux is located on a pedestrian street behind the Église Saint-Bruno. Throughout the year, it offers guided tours and workshops for children, young people and adults.

The Caves de la Chartreuse in Voiron offer a tourist and cultural visitor centre dedicated to the history and world of liqueur. The visits end with a guided tasting of traditional liqueurs such as Green Chartreuse and Yellow Chartreuse.

Nature

The Jardin de ville de Voiron covers 30,400 square metres and is home to 300 tree species, many of which are more than a hundred years old. Orienteering in the Jardin de ville de Voiron is an activity suitable for children, with 23 control points hidden throughout the park.

Notre-Dame de Vouise can be reached on foot and offers a 360-degree panorama of the Chartreuse and Vercors mountain ranges. The marked trail to Notre-Dame de Vouise takes just over an hour from the centre of Voiron and passes through quiet hamlets and protected, natural surroundings.

La parenthèse nature de Voiron begins at the Église Saint-Pierre and follows paths connecting the town with the rural landscapes of Charauze. Les Balcons de Voiron begins in the centre of Voiron and passes through quiet hamlets offering impressive views of the Chartreuse and Vercors.
