The “Rando train: Le pas du Serpaton” hiking route passes through Saint-Paul-lès-Monestier and Gresse-en-Vercors to the Alpage du Serpaton, where it offers a panorama. “Coucouri” is a moderately difficult, 12.6-kilometre circular route with a stated duration of 1 hour 30 minutes. The route passes through Saint-Paul-lès-Monestier and Saint-Guillaume, runs close to the Coucouri stream and offers views of the Deux-Sœurs.
“Les Grands Cols du Trièves – Étape 1” passes through Saint-Paul-lès-Monestier. The route is a difficult, 46.7-kilometre circular route with a stated duration of 3 hours 30 minutes. It can be started in Monestier-de-Clermont, where access by public transport is easier.
In the immediate vicinity of Saint-Paul-lès-Monestier is Monestier-de-Clermont railway station on the Grenoble–Gap TER-SNCF line; the journey to or from Grenoble takes 45 minutes.
