Saint-Aygulf: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Saint-Aygulf combines extensive beaches with a varied coastal landscape. Plage des Esclamandes comprises large fine-sand beaches that stretch over several kilometres. The Étangs de Villepey have a different landscape character: this 271-hectare protected coastal wetland was formed in the Argens delta.

Nature

The Étangs de Villepey comprise ponds, a lagoon, mudflats, a Sansouire salt marsh, wet and dry meadows, dunes, riparian forest and a pine forest. The area is a refuge for fauna and flora and is used for birdwatching.

The hiking trail at the Étangs de Villepey is easy and suitable for families. There, visitors can observe numerous bird species and enjoy the view from the observation platform. The route to the Étangs de Villepey in Saint-Aygulf can be reached via Avenue de la Corniche d’Azur (D559). The car park at Plage des Esclamandes can be used for this purpose; it is subject to a parking fee in summer.

Parc Areca covers 3.5 hectares by the sea in Saint-Aygulf. Its facilities include a botanical educational trail and an orientation board.

At Port de Saint-Aygulf, activities such as jet skiing and windsurfing are offered alongside boat trips. The association « Les Voiles Latines » also operates traditional Pointus there as part of the local maritime tradition.

Tradition

The votive festival « Les Fêtes de Saint-Aygulf » takes place every first weekend in September. The « Marché Traditionnel de Saint-Aygulf » is also held in Saint-Aygulf at Place de la Poste.
