The Château de Tallard has a documented history spanning 700 years and has been classified in its entirety since 1969. It offers self-guided tours with audio guides as well as guided tours.

Culture and History
The Église Saint-Grégoire was built between 1640 and 1644. Its nave is decorated with six paintings depicting the life of Saint Gregory. It has been classified as a historic monument (“Monument historique”) since 30 May 1931.
Tallard’s historic centre can be explored as part of guided tours. Porte Durance is one of the two gates of Tallard’s historic centre that remain today.
Local Life
The market in Tallard takes place every Tuesday and Friday morning at Place Commandant Dumont. Numerous local producers offer fruit, vegetables, eggs, cheese, fish and honey there.
Landscape and Trails
The gardens of Tallard were created after the French Revolution. A dam that diverted the course of the Durance made it possible to use the silty soils as arable land.
The “Itinéraire des Villages Perchés – Parcours 3” route is 28 kilometres long and takes around 50 minutes by car. It passes through Tallard, Châteauvieux, Neffes, Pelleautier, Sigoyer and Fouillouse.
Activities
At Durance Canoë, canoe trips take place without a guide from the water sports centre in Tallard. A shuttle takes participants to their chosen starting point; they then return to Tallard by canoe along the Durance.
