Coast and Nature
Plage de la Dugue is primarily intended for swimming; during the summer, it is closed to boats. 80 % of the Ensuès-la-Redonne area belongs to the Conservatoire du littoral. The municipality is also covered by two Natura 2000 sites and a Special Protection Area (ZPS). Artificial reef structures off Ensuès-la-Redonne fall within the jurisdiction of the Parc Marin de la Côte Bleue.
The Calanque de Grand Méjean borders the Calanque of Ensuès-la-Redonne.
Hiking
The Bourgailles–Caucarières–Méjean circular route is an easy, 4.2 km, two-hour family hike through the wooded massif with sea views. The trail begins at the end of Chemin des Bourgailles, where parking spaces are available, and can be continued to the port of Grand Méjean.
The La Redonne–Niolon trail is 8.6 km long and takes about four hours without breaks. Caution is required because of difficult sections caused by marine erosion. It begins at the port of La Redonne and leads via the Calanques des Anthénors and de Figuières to the ports of Petit Méjean and Grand Méjean. From Gare de Niolon, hikers can return to Ensuès-la-Redonne by taking the SNCF Marseille–Miramas railway line.
The La Redonne–Le Rouet trail is an easy, 4 km family hike via the Calanque des Eaux Salées to Plage du Rouet and takes about one and a half hours one way.
The section of the Grand Sentier de la Côte Bleue in Ensuès-la-Redonne comprises three local circular routes: the 6 km Boucle du Fort de Niolon, the 4 km Boucle des Bourgailles Caucarières and the 6.5 km Boucle des calanques.
Ports and Mobility
The Port de la Madrague de Gignac is located in a small cove overlooked by a viaduct. It accommodates only boats with a shallow draft and has 100 berths.
The Port de Figuières is located in a narrow calanque of Ensuès-la-Redonne. Due to a water depth of less than 1 metre, it is accessible only to small boats, has 65 berths on the water and is difficult to reach by road.
In 2026, shuttle line C6 is scheduled to operate on weekends and public holidays from 18 April to 11 October. It offers ten daily trips from the entrance to the town to Grand Méjean.
