The Romanesque parish church of Le Mas was built in the 11th and 12th centuries by monks from Lérins. By decree of 15 September 1937, it was entered in the Répertoire des Bâtiments de France. Its semicircular apse and two small bell towers on the right-hand side of the façade attest to its medieval origins.

The Saint-Sébastien Chapel in Le Mas was entirely decorated and painted by the artist Patrick Moya, who comes from Nice. The annual events calendar also includes the Fête de la Saint-Arnoux, which takes place every year in August in Le Mas.

Hiking and Nature

The Le Mas–La Rivière–Le Mas hiking route leads to a footbridge over the la Gironde River. The Le Mas–Le Charamel–La Clue–Le Mas route runs across the Montagne de Charamel and then reaches the upper part of the Clue de Le Mas. The Le Mas–Montagne de Charamel route is maintained by the Alpes-Maritimes département as part of the PDIPR; its signage and trail markings are also maintained.

According to visitor information, the local fauna of Le Mas includes roe deer, red deer, chamois, mouflons, dormice, songbirds and birds of prey.

The peaks of Pic de Fourneuby, Pic de l'Aiglo, Rocher de Mont Mal and Harpille are located in the immediate vicinity of Le Mas.
