Seven hiking trails are available in Levens for exploring the municipality’s landscapes on foot. The Circuit de l’Arpasse is a moderately difficult hike measuring 9.5 km, with 420 m of ascent and 420 m of descent, and lasting 3 hours.
The “la grotte du rat” climbing area comprises 30 routes.
Culture
The Ancienne abbaye de la Madone-des-Prés was built in the second half of the 11th century and was first mentioned in 1075. The apse and crypt of the church of the Ancienne abbaye de la Madone-des-Prés were protected as historic monuments by decree of 5 October 1965.
The Galerie du Portal is built against the surviving remains of the 14th-century fortification walls and has a medieval cellar. It hosts temporary exhibitions. In addition, various events, conferences, and concerts are held at the Galerie du Portal.
