Culture

Sainte-Croix-à-Lauze is a village dating from the 11th century. The Église Saint-Didier is a small Gothic building that was probably constructed towards the end of the 13th century. Its choir retains a ribbed vault with an Agnus Dei on the keystone.

The former 17th-century Château in the village centre is known for its ornate wrought-iron entrance gate. Romanesque traces can be seen at the Church of the Invention-de-la-Sainte-Croix. The historical remains of Sainte-Croix-à-Lauze also include the ruins of the Chapelle Saint-Didier. Fossils are embedded in worked stone slabs.

In the surroundings of Sainte-Croix-à-Lauze there are two historical sites named Abbaye Notre-Dame de Valsaintes: one dating from 1668–1792 and another from 1188–1425. The wider region is home to the Le Paraïs museum, maison de Jean Giono, and the historical site Abbaye de Manosque.

The Luberon cycling route No. 12 passes through Sainte-Croix-à-Lauze and by the Oratoire Notre-Dame de la Salette.
