Culture
The village's ecclesiastical history spans several historical periods. After the French Revolution, the Romanesque Saint-Hilaire church was the only surviving one of the three churches in the village of Les Trois-Moutiers. It was destroyed in 1888 and replaced by the present-day church of Les Trois-Moutiers.
The Château de la Mothe-Chandeniers has a history marked by lavish splendour, neglect, an audacious reconstruction, a devastating fire and remarkable survival. The Moulin du Gué Sainte-Marie is one of the last tower windmills in the Vienne department. The dolmens of Les Trois-Moutiers and the menhir « la pierre de Courçu » are classified as historic monuments.
Nature
The Etang de pêche des Trois-Moutiers is located at the exit of the village towards Loudun and has picnic tables and play equipment for children.
Food and Drink
The Champignonnière de Bernazay offers visitors the chance to see an underground mushroom farm that is still in operation and sells blonde mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms and snowball mushrooms on site.
Domaine de la Neuraye is a family-run winery in Vaon. It produces AOP Saumur, Saumur Puy Notre Dame and Crémant de Loire wines, as well as grape juice, and sells them directly. Domaine Saint Landor is an organically certified winery in the Vienne part of the AOP Saumur region and produces Saumur Rouge, Saumur Blanc, Saumur Rosé, Saumur Puy Notre Dame and Crémant de Loire.
