Culture and History
La Péchellerie is the château of Le Tallud and was first mentioned at the end of the 15th century. Two pepper-pot-shaped towers remain from La Péchellerie; they were shortened in 1929.
The Calvaire de la Foye was built in 1936 and restored by the municipality. Le Tallud is part of an area that has been awarded the “Pays d'art et d'histoire” label.
The parish church of Saint-Saturnin has undergone little change since the 12th century and reflects the Romanesque style of the buildings in the Gâtine. Its western portal is protected by a porch known as a “ballet”, which was rebuilt in the mid-19th century.

Nature
Le Tallud is one of the 15 municipalities included in the 7,000-hectare Natura 2000 site “Bassin du Thouet amont”. The Empince weir spans the Thouet in Le Tallud.
Paths and Leisure
The circular route “Le Tallud - Vers la Trébesse d'Azay-sur-Thouet” starts at the Place de l'église in Le Tallud. It is initially marked in yellow and then in yellow and red along the GR de Pays du Thouet.
The Plan d'eau la Vernière offers a playground, a boules area, fishing opportunities and picnic facilities. Part of the Plan d'eau la Vernière leisure complex is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Local Life
A food market takes place every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Place de l'Église in Le Tallud.
