Vouzan combines local history with marked trails through the surrounding area. The Château de Vouzan is partly protected as a Monument historique; it was listed on 31 December 1986. The château is privately owned and cannot be visited. Its origins date back to the 15th century.

Culture
Vieux Vouzan is also part of the area's historical heritage. The chapel of Vieux Vouzan was the former parish church; it was acquired in 1902 by the owner of the Château de Vouzan. From the new town centre, the access route offers an unobstructed view of part of Vieux Vouzan, the Château de Vouzan situated above the valley, and the old houses.
Nature
The circular hiking trail to Lac de l'Épigier from Vouzan is 9.5 km long and marked in green. It passes Vieux Vouzan, with its château as a point of interest. The points of interest along the circular trail also include chestnut forests. The Sentier Matignon is marked in yellow.

The historic site of Abbaye de Fontaine Vive is located in the immediate vicinity of Vieux Vouzan. In the wider regional surroundings of Vieux Vouzan are the Artothèque d'Angoulème museum, the historic site of Notre-Dame des Bezines, and the historic site of Hôtel Mousnier-Longpré.
