Vouthon: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Vouthon combines architectural history, cave visits and regional cultural attractions. The Donjon de La Chaise is a square keep built in the 11th century at La Garenne on a rock crossed by underground passages. Since 8 July 1988, it has been listed as a historic monument. The keep was remodelled in the 15th and 16th centuries; today, it is visible only from a distance.

Culture and History

The parish church of Saint-Martin is located in the chapel of the 12th-century Templar commandery of Vouthon. In 1312, the Templar commandery passed to the Order of St John of Jerusalem.
