The Nouère runs through Rouillac, which is surrounded by wooded hills. Rouillac also has an outdoor swimming pool with five pools. The parish church of Saint-Pierre was built from the end of the 11th century onwards.

Culture and history
Saint-Pierre Church has been listed as a Monuments historiques site since 1910. Its bell tower has an octagonal shape, which is rather rare in the Angoumois region, and towers above the town centre.
The Foire de Rouillac has been held on the 27th of every month since 1806. At this market, food and local produce vendors, including poultry and fish sellers as well as local producers, are present only in the morning; refreshments are available on site.
The Centre culturel du 27 is home to the La Palène association. It offers a varied cultural programme featuring performances, concerts, theatre and exhibitions.
Cycling
The Rouillac Boucle 27A is a 7-kilometre circular cycling route. It starts at the car park of the Communauté de communes du Rouillacais. The 7-kilometre route is intended to take 45 minutes and is suitable for use every day of the year.
