The Église de la Transfiguration is one of the few sacred buildings from the 11th and 12th centuries in Aunis to have survived the Wars of Religion. Its crossing is vaulted with an octagonal, distinctly faceted dome. Since a decree dated 27 February 1925, the Église de la Transfiguration has been listed as a Monument historique.

The local craft culture includes La Poterie de Saint Sauveur. The workshop extends over two floors and presents decorative items as well as objects for setting the table. At the same time, La Poterie de Saint Sauveur invites visitors to discover its creativity and pottery craftsmanship.

History and tradition

The Chapelle Notre-Dame was built from 1850 to 1854 after the inhabitants made a vow following the end of the destruction of the grapevines caused by worms. The Chapelle Notre-Dame contains ex-votos, regarded as anonymous testimonies of recognition and gratitude. The celebration on 15 August includes a procession from the Église de la Transfiguration to the Chapelle Notre-Dame.

La Réserve Végétale d'Aunis is a horticultural business where around 30 varieties of aromatic and medicinal plants are grown. From May to September, the flowering garden can be visited on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. On request, La Réserve Végétale d'Aunis offers guided tours for individuals and groups.
