Chérac: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Chérac is home to the Église Saint-Gervais-Saint-Protais, a building dating from the late 12th century that has been altered over time. The church has a three-bay nave, a transept with side chapels and apsidioles, a choir, and an apsidal sanctuary. Its fully preserved bell tower features a Romanesque arcade level, whose arches rest alternately on small columns and piers.

The Maison de la Gaieté is decorated on its exterior façades and interior fittings with millions of mosaic pieces made from broken crockery. The restored Maison de la Gaieté has reopened to the public. Guided tours showcase the numerous mosaics on the façades and in the interiors and explain the history of the artwork as well as the work of Ismaël Villéger and his son Guy.
The Château de Dion is a 16th-century building. Cylindrical towers stand at the rear, while the front façade is flanked by two bartizans. The residential building of the Château de Dion, its interior fittings, and the dovecote have been fully protected by a heritage listing dated 28 September 2012.

Chérac is included in the Natura 2000 site “Moyenne vallée de la Charente et Seugnes et Coran”.
Geographical Setting
The Château Royal de Cognac, the ruins of the Abbaye de la Frenade, and the Parc François-Ier are located in the vicinity of Chérac. Further afield in the region around Chérac are the historic Château de Jarnac and the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre.
