Cercoux: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Romanesque Church of Saint-Saturnin and the 18th-century altarpiece of the Chapel of Our Lady have jointly been classified as a historic monument since 15 April 1980. Traces of three pointed-arch windows have also been preserved in the church's chancel wall; inside, there is a painted and gilded 18th-century altarpiece of Our Lady.
Culture
Moulin-Pocquet is also part of the historic townscape. The site is listed in the French architectural heritage inventory as a former grain mill and later Motard flour mill.
Landscape
The valley of the Le Lary River influences the landscape of Cercoux along the eastern municipal boundary. The La Combe du Loup quarry lies on the wooded plateau of the Double Saintongeaise. There, small hills and valleys alternate with numerous natural or artificial ponds.
The horse-riding stop at Étang de Levrault is located in the heart of the Double Saintongeaise forest and has a 20 m² shelter, hitching rails for horses, a picnic table and a litter bin.
Those planning to visit Cercoux and its Romanesque Church of Saint-Saturnin during their trip may wish to rent a holiday apartment.
