History

At the Motte féodale de Bailleul, the visible foundations of the castle, a stone-lined well and deep surrounding moats have been preserved. The Motte féodale de Bailleul is the fortified castle mound of Jean de Bailleul, who became King of Scotland. As part of the French “Sites” protection system, it is designated as a protected site.
