The collegiate church of Saint-Lucien de Bury marked an important stage in the development of the history of rib vaulting in the 12th century.

The Church of Saint-Lucien contains six furnishings classified as historic monuments.

The Chapelle Saint-Maur de Mérard dates from the 15th century.

It was built at the expense of the local monastery to serve the inhabitants of Mérard, Brivois and Boisicourt.

Nature

Bury is located within the 361.57-hectare ZNIEFF Coteaux de Mérard et de Cambronne-les-Clermont.

The former open-pit quarries of Mérard are located on the hills rising north of Bury; the stone extracted from them was used to build the church of Bury.

Hiking

The GR124 connects Cires-lès-Mello in the Oise département with Rebreuviette in the Pas-de-Calais département.

In Bury, it reaches the town via Rue Raspail in the hamlet of Saint-Claude, crosses the town centre via several streets and leaves the municipality from the hamlet of Mérard via Chemin des Carrières.

Le Noyer Beau is a 9 km hiking trail that passes through Bury.

The Le Noyer Beau circular trail meets the GR124 after Bury cemetery and then continues via Mérard and Boisicourt.

Getting There

Bury is served by the Bury-Mouy SNCF railway station on the Creil–Beauvais railway line.
