History
The parish church of Saint-Martin in Pargny-Filain, formerly Saint-Pierre, which existed before the First World War, dated from the 13th century. Its reconstruction was under way at its original location in 1928. The present-day Saint-Martin church was built in the neo-Romanesque style.
Pargny-Filain’s town hall and former primary school were rebuilt at the same location after being destroyed in the war. The reconstructed town hall and school building uses brick, rubble stone and ashlar.
Townscape
The war memorial of Pargny-Filain is visible from the main road. It is a granite obelisk featuring a bronze palm depiction.
