Mézy-Moulins is located on the left bank of the Marne, where the Surmelin flows into the Marne. The local landscape includes the Église Notre-Dame de Mézy: it stands near this confluence in a flood-prone meadow on elevated ground surrounded by the cemetery.

The circular trail La rose sur la Marne leads from the banks of the Surmelin to those of the Marne, passing the church in Mézy and continuing to the Polissoir du Bois-des-Grès. After leaving the forest, hikers on this circular trail can enjoy panoramic views over the Marne valley.
Culture and history
The Polissoir du Bois-des-Grès dates from the Neolithic period and was classified as a historic monument by decree of 20 February 1969. It is also known as the “pierre des Cosaques”. Eleven grooves as well as 18 bowls and depressions are visible in the stone.
The Église Notre-Dame de Mézy and the cemetery surrounding it form a parish complex enclosed by a low wall made of local stone. In addition, the Église de la Nativité-de-la-Sainte-Vierge de Mézy-Moulins is a three-storey early Gothic building from the 13th century with a twelve-lobed rose window.

By the water
The fishing course managed by Les Amis de la Gaule stretches for 15 km along the Marne and begins in Mézy-Moulins at the confluence of the Marne and the Surmelin.
