Merval: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The Church of Saint-Martin in Merval was classified as a historic monument in 1919. Its choir dates from the third quarter of the 12th century; the nave was built in 1852.

From 1921 to 1924, the church was faithfully restored under the direction of architect Lucien Sallez. The capitals of the choir pillars feature fantastical figures and are decorated with botanical motifs.

In the 18th century, Merval formed a joint parish with Serval. Merval also has a troglodytic village and so-called creuttes.
