The Collines du Laonnois oriental Natura 2000 site, a special conservation area with the code FR 2200395, covers part of the municipality of Laval-en-Laonnois. Its designation was justified by the presence of natural habitat types and wild animal and plant species. The protected area is entirely terrestrial.
