Hiking

One of Chaourse's attractions is the “Les Quatre Vents” hiking trail. The route is 13.5 km long, takes 3 hours and 45 minutes, is considered fairly easy, and is marked in yellow and blue. It passes through Montcornet, Lislet and Chaourse.

Nature

The Chaourse wetland is a park in the heart of the village. A footpath and a wooden footbridge lead through it, allowing visitors to discover the flora and fauna associated with the aquatic habitat there at any time of year.

Cycling

The “La Brune et la Serre” cycling circuit is 60.8 km long and takes 6 hours. Due to its length and significant difference in elevation, it is intended for experienced cyclists. The circuit follows the D 74 through Chaourse.

Culture

The fortified Saint-Martin Church in Chaourse is one of the oldest fortified churches in the region; a document dates it to 1370. The 25-metre-high, solid, square bell tower of the fortified Saint-Martin Church is the only surviving remnant of the original church. The fortified Saint-Martin Church is located on the northern slope and overlooks the Serre valley.

The Route des Lavoirs includes 26 washhouses in 19 municipalities, including Chaourse.

The intermunicipal outdoor swimming pool in Chaourse offers opportunities for swimming, diving and playing.
