Remouillé: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Chapelle Garreau in Remouillé was built by Jean-Pierre Garreau between 1859 and 1862 as a funerary chapel, with the support of his son-in-law, the architect Eugène Hilléreau. Its design combines Romanesque elements on the buttresses with Gothic elements around the stained-glass windows, as well as Oriental influences, including a dome.
Culture
The local heritage also includes a calvary, located opposite the Jean-Pierre Garreau Museum-Library and associated with his religious work. The Chapelle Sainte-Marguerite is one of the attractions in Remouillé, as is the Sentier de la Maine.
The former washhouse with landing stage was restored and transformed into the Les Rives Garreau leisure centre in 2025. As part of the restoration, the Chapelle Garreau is intended to be reopened to the public.

The « Entre Maine et Gorgeat » circular trail starts in Remouillé at the church square, is 9.1 km long and takes approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. It passes the Chapelle Garreau and continues along the banks of the Maine and the Gorgeat. There are information panels about wild plants and flowers there.
The Les Rives Garreau leisure facility is located on the banks of the Maine in peaceful, green surroundings and offers opportunities for short walks and observing nature.
