Trails
The local hiking options include the Circuit des manoirs, a tour through Basse-Goulaine’s heritage, the Canal de Goulaine, the Sentier des Vallées and the Circuit du Gué. The Circuit des manoirs is approximately 3 kilometres long and leads, among other places, to historical sites and manor houses such as the Château de la Ravelonnière, the Domaine de la Champagnère and the Manoir de la Prétière. In addition, Basse-Goulaine provides downloadable hiking route sheets focusing on nature and heritage.
The Circuit du canal de Goulaine is an easy, 8.2-kilometre circular hike lasting two and a half hours. It passes a wetland classified as a Natura 2000 site and the Goulaine Canal.

Culture
The Chapelle Saint-Michel is thought to date from the 16th century. Following its renovation in 2013 and 2014, it can host exhibitions. During floods that could make access to the Church of Saint-Brice impossible, it served, in a sense, as an alternative or secondary church.
La Pierre Frite is a 3.25-metre-high quartz menhir. It is associated with the megalithic civilisation that flourished between 5000 and 3000 BC.
Water and nature
At Basse-Goulaine, the Goulaine River reaches the Loire via the Goulaine Canal. The canal was built in the 17th century by the people who drained the marshland.
The Parc de la Grillonnais covers approximately 3 hectares and consists of a partly wooded, semi-wild woodland area and a well-maintained meadow. It has a play area for children. At three colourful beehives, visitors can observe the work of the bees; honey harvesting at the end of summer also provides an opportunity to learn about beekeeping practices and taste honey.

The weekly market under the covered market hall in Le Grignon offers, among other things, fruit and vegetables, dairy products, seafood, delicatessen products and honey, takeaway food, crêpes and galettes, poultry, and meat and cold cuts.
