The Georges Cuvier circular hiking trail begins at the Church of Saint Martin in Thiergeville and is 13.0 kilometres long. From the hamlet of Bec-au-Cauchois, it offers a view over the Valmont Valley.
History
In the 12th century, Nicolas d’Estouteville handed the parish of Thiergeville over to Valmont Abbey. The Church of Saint Martin of Thiergeville was built in the 18th century by Camille Albert.
The Château de Fiquainville dates from the 16th to the 18th century. Georges Cuvier worked there as a tutor, studied nature and created his own herbarium.
Architectural Heritage
The Château de Gruville is partly located within the municipality of Thiergeville. From 1876 onwards, it was built by the architect Camille Albert for Alexandre Le Grand; it is partly listed as a historic monument.
The Manoir de Vertot is a traditional 16th-century building. It includes a 17th-century dovecote made of brick and flint.
