History
The Manoir du Vivier was built at the beginning of the 16th century by Roger Poisson, Lord of Riville, using stone, brick, and flint. The use of blue or blond flint mosaics at the Manoir du Vivier reflects the influence of the Italian Renaissance. The nearby Vivier pond served as a fish reserve for the monks of Valmont Abbey.
The Château de Caumont was built in 1728 from brick and flint. Opposite its entrance are the remains of an oratory that served as a place of prayer for the village hunters.
A manor house in Riville served as a place of rest for the clergy of Fécamp Abbey from 1412 onward. The Ferme du Bosc-aux-Moines was built in the 19th century and replaced the former manor house that had served as a place of rest for the clergy of Fécamp.
Culture
The Église Saint-Pierre is particularly known for its statue of Saint Expédit. The church also contains a monumental painting bearing the coat of arms of Jean-Louis Ficquet de Normanville.
The dovecote of the Ferme du Petit Riville was built in the 18th century and rests on a white-stone base. Its lower section is decorated with diamonds made of black bricks.
