Louvetot lies on the Pays de Caux plateau and overlooks Caudebec-en-Caux, which stretches along the right bank of the Seine. The town has numerous forests and plains and is part of the Boucles de la Seine Normande Regional Nature Park.

Nature
The Boucles de la Seine Normande Regional Nature Park follows the meanders of the Seine between Rouen and Le Havre. It covers 91,000 hectares in the Eure and Seine-Maritime départements. Forests and wetlands cover more than half of its area.
The landscape around Louvetot also includes the circular hiking trail “Aux Portes d’Yvetot”. It includes stages within Louvetot and passes through fields and woodland. Some sections through wetlands are more challenging.
Culture and history
The Notre-Dame parish church dates back to a former 13th-century church with a Latin cross plan and a bell tower between the choir and the nave. It was completely rebuilt in the 18th century, received a new bell tower in 1740, and the present bell tower was rebuilt in 1861.
The Radio-Normandie transmitter building is made of brick and concrete. Its side gables and partial half-timbered cladding evoke the neo-Norman style of the villas on the coast. The Radio-Normandie transmitter is located in Louvetot in the hamlet of Belle-Vue on the départemental road 131. The Émetteur Radio-Normandie is located in Louvetot at 481 route d’Yvetot.
In 1935, a three-hectare plot of land was acquired in Louvetot to build a Radio Normandie transmission centre there. The Radio-Normandie station was inaugurated on 4 June 1939; its broadcasts ended on 7 September, and the antenna was dismantled in 1940.
Events
The Saint-Barnabé celebration takes place every year in June and is considered the highlight of Louvetot’s annual events. It includes a whole weekend of activities. On Saturday evening, these include a festive meal and musical entertainment. Throughout the weekend, fairground rides and other attractions for families are part of the programme.
