Nature
La Poterie-Cap-d'Antifer has a rich natural heritage. This includes the Valleuses de Bruneval and d'Antifer, as well as Type I and II ZNIEFF areas, Espaces Naturels Sensibles and Natura 2000 sites. The hiking route through the Valleuse d'Antifer passes through Étretat, Le Tilleul and La Poterie-Cap-d'Antifer. In places, it runs through the Valleuse d'Antifer area designated as a sensitive natural area, which belongs to the Conservatoire du littoral.
Culture
The Église Saint-Martin was built in the 12th century and largely rebuilt in the 17th century. A cornice with grotesque heads has been preserved on the north side of the nave.
The present-day Phare d'Antifer is located within the municipality of La Poterie-Cap-d'Antifer. The octagonal tower with curved sides is 37.90 metres high and has 170 steps. It was built from 1949 onward, entered service on 21 November 1955 and is automated.
Operation Biting, also known as the Raid de Bruneval, took place on the night of 27–28 February 1942 on the cliffs of La Poterie-Cap-d'Antifer. The aim was to capture important components of a German radar while creating the impression that the radar had been destroyed. During the operation, British paratroopers and Norman resistance fighters destroyed a German radar in La Poterie-Cap-d'Antifer.
