History

The Saint-Paul Church in Aubermesnil-Beaumais contains the high altar with its altarpiece, the painting “Sainte Marie-Madeleine au pied de la Croix,” and statues of Saint Clair and Saint Paul. The altarpiece is signed and dated “Roger 1715,” while the painting bears the inscription “Drouet 1829.”

Saint-Paul d'Aubermesnil is a Romanesque church. The bell tower of Saint-Paul Church dates from the 12th century and is located above the entrance portal. The church also has a 13th-century baptismal font decorated with croziers.

The Church of Saint-Laurent-de-Beaumais is a 16th-century reconstruction; the choir and bell tower of the former 13th-century church have been preserved. The portal of the nave dates from the 16th century. The white-stone bell tower is crowned by a slate spire built in the 17th century.
