Saint-Maurice-Lès-Charencey: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The Church of Saint-Maurice has Romanesque origins and was remodelled at the end of the Middle Ages. It has a four-bay nave ending in a semicircular apse. Three small round-arched openings made of composite Grison stone have been preserved in the choir.

The beams of the Church of Saint-Maurice display the coats of arms of Chartres, Alençon, Mortagne and Verneuil. The present bell tower was presumably built in place of an older tower and belongs to the same construction phase, which can be dated to 1821. On this side, the Church of Saint-Maurice is flanked by a side aisle that opens onto the nave through a series of large pointed-arch arcades.

Camping de la Poste offers spacious pitches separated by hedges and equipped with electrical hookups. Motorhomes have access to an area for waste disposal and water refilling. Camping de la Poste has 21 pitches and welcomes campers and motorhomes all year round.

Bus route 416 is designated as the public transport connection between Saint-Maurice-lès-Charencey and L'Aigle.
