The forge that now houses the Musée du Clou was the last forge still operating in Saint-Cornier-des-Landes and is an authentic 18th-century forge. Demonstrations of the forging of various types of nails are presented there.

The Maison du Sabotier contains a clog-making machine and several finished clog models. The Maison du Sabotier also displays a collection of clogs from different origins. A film lasting around 20 minutes explains the history of clog makers and their working methods.

On the outskirts of Saint-Cornier-des-Landes, behind the school in the direction of Yvrandes, stands the Notre Dame de la Salette monument. The residents erected it to thank the Virgin Mary for her protection during the bombings of the Second World War.

The Musée du Clou and the Maison du Sabotier are open from June to September on Friday afternoons from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.; at other times, groups are welcomed by appointment.

Events

Puces Moto takes place every year on the first Sunday in May in the centre of Saint-Cornier-des-Landes. The programme includes the sale of vehicles, spare parts and accessories, as well as a decibel competition. Admission for visitors and parking are free; refreshments are available on site.

The Fête de la Sainte Croix is a traditional festival that has been held once a year for around one hundred years. On the weekend of the Fête de la Sainte Croix, there is an agricultural show, Olympics, a flea market, XXL games, free concerts and several dance dinners.

During the annual Illuminations, volunteers decorate the town together to take part in the Villes et Villages Illuminés competition. Visitors can admire the decorations throughout December.
