Coast and Trails
The sandy beach of Saint-Germain-sur-Ay stretches for more than 3 kilometres. The GR 223 runs along the beach of Saint-Germain-sur-Ay and the havre, passing by the Corps de Garde.
The Pointe du Banc hiking trail passes through wild dunes and offers views of the Havre de Saint-Germain-sur-Ay, which is designated as a protected natural area. The sandy beach of Saint-Germain-sur-Ay is popular with shore anglers for wading fishing.
The Havre de Saint-Germain-sur-Ay can be explored on foot via the Sentier des Douaniers. During the season, the Havre de Saint-Germain-sur-Ay can be visited on a guided tour. At high tide, the Havre de Saint-Germain-sur-Ay is surrounded by the sea; the Corps de Garde can then only be accessed via the car park.

Nature
The Havre de Saint-Germain-sur-Ay is one of the largest and most unspoilt havres on the Côte des Havres in the Manche department. It is part of the 4,040-hectare Natura 2000 site “Havre de Saint-Germain-sur-Ay et Landes de Lessay”.
Culture
The Corps de Garde was a former customs post and was converted in 1945 into a chapel dedicated to Notre-Dame du Rosaire. It was completely restored between 1977 and 1987. Since 1992, the Corps de Garde has been protected as a historic monument.
The Church of Saint-Germain dates from the 12th century. The baptismal fonts in the Église Saint-Germain probably come from the church in Bretteville-sur-Ay.
Local Life
The seasonal market in Saint-Germain-sur-Ay takes place near the beach and brings together producers, craftspeople and exhibitors offering regional products every week.
