The stained-glass window Arbre de Jessé is located in the choir of the Notre-Dame Church in Notre-Dame-du-Touchet. It is 6 metres high and 2.50 metres wide, is estimated to have been created in the 16th century, and is protected as a movable cultural heritage object.

Culture and History

The altarpiece La Mort de la Vierge is also located in the Notre-Dame Church in Notre-Dame-du-Touchet. It consists of two panels: one depicts the death of the Virgin Mary, while the other shows her burial. The altarpiece dates from the 16th century.

The church interior also includes the paving of the choir and nave. It is made of granite and has been protected as a movable cultural heritage object since 7 February 1978.

Near the church in Notre-Dame-du-Touchet stands the wayside cross Croix Saint-Martin. It is decorated with low-relief carvings, including depictions of the Pietà and Saint Martin's act of charity.

The route “Balade dans le bocage autour de Notre-Dame-du-Touchet” follows the D84 to the central crossroads of the municipality of Notre-Dame-du-Touchet. It crosses the Sélune and the Cance.

From 1 September 2026, NOMAD route 3623 is scheduled to connect Notre-Dame-du-Touchet with Mortain and serve the Le Bourg and La Croix de Pierre stops in Notre-Dame-du-Touchet.
