Due to the tides, the Baie de Morsalines empties twice a day, exposing a two-kilometre-wide area of tidal flats. The bay has a shallow, sandy bottom.

The Morsalines coastline covered by the Cap sur Morsalines trail is designated as a Natura 2000 site. Migratory birds can be observed along the Morsalines coastal path.
Trails
Cap sur Morsalines is an easy 4.9-kilometre hike with a stated duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes. The trail begins at the car park near the community event hall.
The Cap sur Morsalines trail is accessible by car but is not served by the Cap Cotentin bus network. At high tide, the Chemin de la Redoute is not always passable; some sections may be wet.
The GR®223 leads to La Redoute de Morsalines and then continues through the centre of Morsalines and Rivage. On La Vélomaritime / EuroVelo 4, the climb follows the D216 from Morsalines to the junction with the D14.
Culture and history
The Église Notre-Dame de Morsalines is listed in its entirety in the inventory of Monuments Historiques. The foundations of its bell tower may date back to the Romanesque period.
The church is surrounded by a maritime cemetery and is known for its boat ex-votos engraved in stone. Visits to the Église Notre-Dame de Morsalines are possible on request; numerous concerts are also held there.
At La Redoute de Morsalines, a bunker built by the German army and concrete machine-gun positions are still preserved.
Event
The traditional Vide-greniers Campagnard at La Bétinerie in Morsalines was announced for Sunday, 9 August, with free admission for visitors.
