Culture and history
The present-day Notre-Dame Church in Morigny probably dates from the 16th century and was remodelled in the 19th century. Today, it is part of the Blessed Sister Martha parish, whose centre is in Percy. The church contains three tomb slabs.
On the south wall of the nave of Morigny Church stands the Eudist Madonna and Child statue. It is a carved, polychrome-painted wooden sculpture dating from the 17th century. On 24 February 1984, it was registered as a historic object. The L’Aumoire manor complex in Morigny includes a chapel.
Landscape and nature
On the western side of Morigny, the Drôme River separates Morigny from Montbray and Saint-Vigor-des-Monts. To the east, Morigny borders a small valley that runs along the Calvados département. Morigny offers beautiful views of the hills of Montbray and Saint-Vigor-des-Monts.
Morigny is also part of the ZNIEFF area “Moyenne vallée de la Vire et bassin de la Souleuvre”.
In the village
Morigny Town Hall is located on the bend in the D454, opposite Morigny Church on the other side of the road to the south. The Le Trochu holiday home provides two men's bicycles and a women's mountain bike.
