Culture

The Notre-Dame Church in Montpinchon contains a marbled baptismal font and a copper cover. The object was listed as movable cultural heritage on 3 April 1974. Montpinchon Church also includes the 17th-century Saint-Laurent Chapel. Its bell tower dates from the 15th to 16th century, and the church stands on the site of a Romanesque chapel. Public toilets are available next to Montpinchon Church.

The Site de la Monterie, restored between 2007 and 2010, is an example of stone-and-earth architecture with a thatched roof. It is the headquarters of the Pierre et Masse association, which promotes traditional architecture through community restoration projects and the passing on of traditional building methods.

The Montpinchon Chappe telegraph was part of a communication line from Cherbourg to Nantes that ran via Avranches and Rennes. On the hill of Montpinchon stands the remains of a Chappe tower that was in operation between 1835 and 1855.
