Culture
The American military cemetery in Montjoie-Saint-Martin can be visited free of charge and independently every day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The site covers 14 hectares and contains the graves of 4,410 soldiers. A memorial monument, a chapel and a wall bearing the names of 498 missing soldiers complete the cemetery.
The Carré Militaire Marocain is located in the cemetery of the Saint-Martin church in the centre of Montjoie-Saint-Martin. It honours eight Moroccan volunteers; in 1999, a memorial monument and eight individually designed Muslim gravestones were erected for this purpose.
The Saint-Martin church was rebuilt in the 18th century, recently restored and preserves several protected elements. The Saint-Denis chapel formerly welcomed pilgrims from Maine.
The Manoir du Bois Mainfray is the only farm in the canton with a square courtyard and bears witness to the local history of the ruling estate.
