Culture and History
The Church of Saint-Hermeland in Les Moitiers-en-Bauptois stands at the end of an ancient, floodable causeway that was used to cross the Ouve. The Roman road from Alauna (Valognes) to Cosedia (Coutances), via Orglandes, also runs directly alongside the church.
The Notre-Dame-de-Fatima Chapel was built from the stones of the ruins of several chapels that had been destroyed during the bombings of 1944. In Longuerac (Les Moitiers-en-Bauptois), the Notre-Dame-de-Fatima Chapel is located in the Parc des Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin on the banks of the Ouve.
Longuerac also preserves old houses made of stone and earth. In the past, the village accommodated flat-bottomed boats known as gabarres, which were used for river transport.
Landscape
The hamlet of Longuerac lies on the banks of the Douve and offers sweeping views across the marshland. In winter, the marshland around Longuerac can appear to be covered in white due to the abundant rainfall.

Le Clos des Pieds Nus offers a 1.7-kilometre landscaped barefoot trail. The CAUE « des arbres conteurs » promenade runs alongside rows of trees and gardens featuring both young and mature trees.
