The “La Vallée de la Sabine” trail is an easy 9.91-kilometre circular route with 149 metres of elevation gain, starting in the centre of Beaumont-Hague. The route offers views of the sea and the Hague landscape and is marked with trail markers bearing the number 21 on a green background.

The “Les falaises” route begins at Beaumont-Hague Town Hall and returns to Beaumont-Hague as a circular trail. At Lac des Moulinets, it joins the GR 223. It is marked with trail markers bearing the number 22 on a red background.

Markets and Culture

The market on Place de la Madeleine in Beaumont-Hague takes place every Saturday morning throughout the year. It offers fruit and vegetables, flowers and vegetable plants, cold meats, a barbecue stand and cheese.

The Church of Notre-Dame in Beaumont-Hague houses a reliquary statue of a holy bishop created in 1753, which has been protected as movable cultural heritage since 11 April 1972. The façades and roofs of the residential building of Manoir de la Madeleine, as well as a ground-floor room with an ornate fireplace, were listed as historic monuments by a decree dated 3 November 2003. The Croix des Vieilles Rues was erected in 1803 on a flight of steps and a pedestal dating from the 17th century.

History

The Hague Dike is an earthwork fortification from the Early Bronze Age I, dating from approximately 1206 to 925 BC. It primarily served as a defensive system and runs between the municipalities of Digulleville and Beaumont-Hague for almost 2.7 kilometres in an east-west direction.
