With its dovecote, turrets and curtain walls of the former fortifications, Château de Tilly is protected as a listed historic monument. It was built around 1530–1535 by Claude Le Roux, a counsellor at the Parliament of Normandy and lord of the village. The rectangular brick building has round towers and a tall rear tower with a belvedere and a staircase leading to Rihour. The protected area includes the château grounds themselves, including the ground of the vanished moats, as well as the façades and roofs of the outbuildings on parcels AA 6 to 9, 12 and 19.
