Culture and History
The characteristic choir of the Église Saint-Pierre dates from the 12th century and was built in the Romanesque style. The Église Saint-Pierre is classified as a “Monument historique”.
At the Église Saint-Pierre, a British military cemetery contains the graves of 32 British soldiers from the 6th Airborne Division. The soldiers buried in this British military cemetery were killed between 18 and 20 August 1944 during the Battle of Putot-en-Auge, while liberating the commune.
