Ficheux combines signposted hiking trails with evidence of local and wartime history. Anyone choosing Ficheux as a destination and wishing to rent a holiday apartment has thereby decided on the type of accommodation for their stay.

Hiking

Ficheux has two signposted hiking trails. The Sentier des Gressières is 8 km long. The Sentier du Brugelard stretches over 11 km, starts at the Ficheux village hall and runs between Ficheux and Hendecourt-lès-Ransart.

Culture and History

Ficheux preserves the memory of the Battle of the Mill of Ficheux, which took place on 25 September 1915. The Ficheux military cemetery is designated as the CWGC Bucquoy Road Cemetery. Standing Buffalo, described as the grandson of Sitting Bull, is buried there.

The Church of Saint Maurice has stained-glass windows in the shape of a Latin cross. As a whole, it has been listed as a historic monument by decree of 9 August 2018. After its destruction in the First World War, the church was rebuilt in 1929 using reinforced concrete and in an original style.

ARTIS line 16 serves Ficheux on the route between Ransart and Arras Gare.
