Ergny: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Ergny is located on the left bank of the Aa. From the late 19th century to the middle of the 20th century, the village was widely characterised by red brick. Those considering Ergny as a holiday destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment there.

Village character and culture

The Church of Saint Léger dates from the 16th century and is one of the small churches with a bell gable in the upper Aa valley. The former presbytery of Ergny stands beside it; it appears to be the oldest residential building in the village. Ergny’s watermill is a reminder of milling activity in the Aa valley.

Visitors can discover Ergny’s brick barns and brick farmyards. They can go for walks near the former municipal school of Ergny; the typical two-storey brick building dates from the 19th century. Ergny also had a roadside shop with a chamfered corner, in front of which the railway line ran.

Nature and hiking

Les Cailleuses is a 4 km hiking trail that begins at Ergny Town Hall and leads through hilly landscapes. Hikers can observe the fauna and flora along this trail.

Railway and local history

Ergny railway station is located on the Aire–Berck railway line. The notable brick building was constructed in 1892.
