Cucq combines a coastal landscape with the history of Stella-Plage as well as nature and water-based activities. The coastal dune belt of Cucq formed after the sea receded and former marshes were covered with sand. The dune system of Stella-Plage includes sea buckthorn, dog roses and marram grass and is located in a Natura 2000 area; the dune landscape along the Sentier des dunes also belongs to this Natura 2000 area.

Landscape
The Sentier des dunes leads through white, embryonic and grey dunes as well as through the Bois Joly. It is a 12 km-long, difficult circular hiking trail that takes an average of three hours and starts in Cucq. Fossés goats and Shetland sheep are used for grazing year-round along the Sentier des violettes to protect the biodiversity of the dunes.
Les Aulnays, the partially sand-covered wreck of an English steam cargo ship, lies on Stella-Plage’s tidal beach.

The Club Nautique Stellien offers introductory and advanced land-yachting courses year-round with a state-qualified instructor. Longe Côte – Le sentier de l’Étoile is a water-based activity open year-round at the Stella-Plage water sports centre for people over 16. Culture and History
The Sainte-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus Church is a square concrete building with a hipped roof and a stained-glass tympanum. Stella-Plage emerged in the first half of the 20th century as one of the largest building developments in France. The Place de l’Étoile in Stella-Plage was inspired by the Place de l’Étoile in Paris. The term stelliennes refers to small post-war houses associated with the construction boom in Stella-Plage from the 1950s onwards.

The former Saint-Josse-sur-Mer monastery is located in the immediate surroundings of Cucq. The Abbaye Notre-Dame de Longvillers is a ruin site in the surroundings of Cucq. Plage Saint-Gabriel, a beach, is also located nearby. The Etaples Military Cemetary is a park in the surroundings of Cucq.
