Socx: Holiday apartments and houses
A green path connects Bergues, the village centre of Socx and the surrounding agricultural landscape. Trees and shrubs were planted along the route; a pond was also enhanced ecologically and landscaped.
When staying in Socx, the wish to rent a holiday apartment can help shape the choice of accommodation.
Nature
At Faubourg de Cassel, visitors will find a place to relax, discover biodiversity and go for walks. An educational path connects it to an existing walking trail. Grazing was also proposed on part of the meadow at Faubourg de Cassel to complement the opportunities for discovering biodiversity.
The Sentiers de mémoire are suitable for walking and cycling. The circular routes are equipped with information boards, themed signs and QR code stations providing access to videos, interviews and digital content.
Culture and history
The Église Saint Léger is a three-aisled hall church made of light-coloured bricks. It was built in the 17th century, extended in 1894 and erected as an extension of the 16th-century entrance-tower porch. The church houses the Saint-Maur bell from Saint Winoc Abbey, cast in Lille in 1700 and decorated with raised coats of arms, a danse macabre and a dedication on a three-line musical staff. The triptych in the Église Saint Léger was painted in Flanders at the beginning of the 17th century for the private devotion of a family.

The Abbaye Saint-Winoc monument is located in the immediate vicinity of Socx. The surrounding area also includes Fort Vallières, the Artothèque de Saint-Pol-sur-Mer museum, the historic Abbaye de Ravensberg site and Île Jeanty island. Further afield in the region are Plage de Petit-Fort-Philippe beach and the hills of Mont des Récollets and Mont des Cats.
