Culture
The Église Sainte-Madeleine was rebuilt in 1763 at the bishop's request, 300 metres from the original church. A circular stained-glass window in the façade bears the coat of arms of the Order of Malta and commemorates this event.
The Protestant temple of Barry-d'Islemade is another of the town's notable buildings: it has a round shape.
Nature
The Circuit des lacs is a very easy, 7.8-kilometre hiking trail. The stated starting point is at 123 Rue de la Mairie in Barry-d'Islemade.
While walking around the three lakes along the Circuit des lacs, you can see numerous birds as well as crayfish and turtles with careful observation.
Lac de Jendraux in Barry-d'Islemade is classified as a second-category fishing water for predatory fish. It is also a place for walking and relaxation.
Water
The canoeing route from Plage de Payrol follows the Aveyron downstream and then goes 200 metres upstream along the Tarn back to Plage de Payrol.
For the advertised canoeing route, participants are taken by minibus from Plage de Payrol to Gué de Piquecos.
Stand-up paddleboarding is available on request at the canoeing centre at Plage de Payrol.
Wine
The Domaine de Massougné winery covers 10 hectares. Free tours are available on request.
Domaine de Massougné offers red, rosé and white wines in bottles and by the glass under the IGP Lavilledieu designation.
