Culture and History
One of the notable structures in Deyme is the Pont de Deyme. It is located within the municipalities of Deyme and Pompertuzat and has been listed as a historic monument since 1998. When the Canal du Midi was built at the end of the 17th century, Pierre-Paul Riquet created this typical structure; its round arch forms an exact semicircle. During the Battle of Toulouse on 12 April 1814, the Pont de Deyme was partially destroyed and faithfully restored to its original state in 1821.
The historical surroundings of the Canal du Midi also include the Aqueduc-siphon de la Joncasse. It was built between 1734 and 1735 so that the Rosiers and Joncasse streams could pass beneath the Canal du Midi. The Aqueduc-siphon de la Joncasse operates according to the siphon principle; its masonry passage opening is 3.90 metres wide.
The church in Deyme was handed over to the future Saint Dominic in 1226 for the establishment of a Dominican monastery. In the Église Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, the high altar, tabernacle and ciborium were listed as protected historic objects in 1996. Later, the Église Sainte-Marie-Madeleine served for defence; it had a chemin de ronde with machicolations.

Hiking
The Boucle de Saint-Ignace is a 3.9-kilometre circular hike with a stated walking time of 1 hour and 15 minutes. It offers views of the Hers plain, the hilly landscape and the Montagne Noire. The Boucle de Saint-Ignace starts at a car park below the church in the centre of Deyme.
