Peyrissas: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
Peyrissas combines church architecture with hiking trails and a cycling tour. The Church of Saint-Roch, the Church of Notre-Dame de l’Assomption and the Sentier de Mayole are particularly diverse examples.

Culture and history
The Church of Saint-Roch has a short nave, a transept with two semicircular chapels, a large apse with two apsidioles and a Gothic southern portal. The Romanesque part of the church in Peyrissas, as well as two capitals of the left apsidiole, have been listed as protected elements since 8 September 1928.
The Church of Notre-Dame de l’Assomption in Peyrissas contains structural elements from the 10th, 16th and 19th centuries. It is a remnant of a former monastery founded around the 10th century by the Abbey of Lézat in Ariège, which became a priory at the end of the 12th century.
The Croix du Hilaynat stands along the Sentier de Mayole, a twisted cross with an arrow-shaped opening. According to local tradition, it was erected in memory of a battle between two lords in the 11th century over control of the Abbey of Peyrissas.
Hiking and cycling
The Sentier de Mayole is designated as an easy, 23-kilometre hike lasting six hours.
The walk at the 2022 village festival covered 12.5 kilometres through Peyrissas and Benque, along the Nère and past maize fields. It included difficult sections equipped with steps and ropes. The programme for the 2026 Fête du village in Peyrissas included a 12-kilometre hike on Sunday.
The Tour du Comminges à Vélo cycling tour passes through Peyrissas, among other places.
Local products
The Ferme de Cassagnaou in Peyrissas sells pork as well as cooked and air-dried sausages directly from the farm. It also has stalls at markets in Aurignac and Saint-Gaudens. The farm shop is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 3 to 6 p.m.
